This page explains how SharpProof uses essential and optional cookies, local storage, and similar technologies across supported regions and markets.
This Cookie Policy explains how SharpProof uses cookies, local storage, web storage, pixels, scripts, and similar storage or access technologies on sharpproof.com.
It applies globally to visitors, registered users, creators, and administrators. Where local law gives you stronger rights, we aim to apply the higher practical consent standard for optional cookies.
This page should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, software development kits, tracking pixels, and scripts that read or store information on your browser or device.
Some storage is temporary and clears when the browser session ends. Other storage persists for a defined period so the service can remember choices such as cookie preferences or login state.
Essential storage is always active because it is needed to provide the service you request, protect the platform, maintain login sessions, prevent abuse, remember cookie choices, and keep core app behavior stable.
Examples include Supabase authentication/session cookies, security and abuse-prevention signals, the cookie-consent record, basic region hints, feature/session routing data, and service-worker/PWA cache needed for app reliability.
If you block essential cookies or equivalent storage in your browser, login, account security, regional routing, bet slip state, creator access, direct messages, or other core features may not work correctly.
Analytics storage is optional. If enabled, it may help us understand which pages and features are used, where errors occur, and how the product performs across devices and regions.
Analytics should be used for product improvement, reliability, funnel measurement, and aggregate reporting. It should not be used to sell personal data or make guaranteed betting-performance claims.
If analytics tools are added, they should not run for you unless your stored cookie choice allows analytics.
Marketing and attribution storage is optional. If enabled in the future, it may support campaign attribution, referral measurement, creator or affiliate campaign reporting, and retargeting controls.
We do not need marketing cookies for you to create an account, track slips, use leaderboards, join chats, or use core SharpProof features.
Where laws such as California privacy rules apply to sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioural advertising, marketing storage should remain disabled unless you choose to allow it and any required opt-out controls are respected.
Preference storage may remember choices such as theme, visual mode, saved consent, onboarding state, and non-sensitive interface preferences.
Some preference storage is essential when it is required to deliver a choice you requested or maintain product functionality. Non-essential preference storage should follow your cookie choices where practical.
SharpProof may store a lightweight region hint based on request headers or browser state. This hint helps prefill region choices and route local experiences before you confirm your account region.
Your confirmed account region, stored on your profile, is the canonical product region for local rankings, local rooms, gauntlet availability, offers, and similar regional surfaces.
Region hints are approximate and can be affected by VPNs, mobile networks, corporate networks, browser settings, and hosting-provider headers. They are not a substitute for compliance-grade geolocation where stricter verification is required.
SharpProof relies on service providers such as Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, Vercel or equivalent hosting infrastructure, email providers, payment providers when enabled, sports data providers, and analytics or campaign tools if introduced.
Third-party embeds, payment pages, authentication providers, or external links may set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control cookies set by third-party websites after you leave SharpProof.
You can accept optional cookies, decline optional cookies, or manage categories from the cookie banner. Essential cookies cannot be disabled from the banner because they are required to provide the service.
You can also clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Clearing cookies may reset your SharpProof preferences and cause the banner to appear again.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out signal, SharpProof treats that as a request not to enable marketing, retargeting, or sale/share-style storage for that browser.
If our use of optional cookies changes materially, we may ask for your choice again.
